There are 6 different breeds of Dachshunds:
1) Miniature Long-Haired
2) Miniature Smooth-Haired
3) Miniature Wire-Haired
4) Standard Long-Haired
5) Standard Smooth-Haired
6) Standard Wire-Haired

Breeding between these different breeds can cause unknown genetic defects and health problems.

All of our dogs and puppies are NZKC registered Miniature Long-Haired Dachshunds. Each and every Bassini puppy (and dog we own) are registered with the New Zealand Kennel Club, which ensures we are breeding purebred puppies and follow strict breeding rules.

Our puppies come from a line of champions from within the last few generations. This can be tracked online through the NZKC registration. International blood ensures more genetic variation which means less/no genetic health issues.

All of the parents are owned and live with our family – playing with our children on a daily basis. This means we know the health, nature and background of our dogs, and what to hopefully expect with any puppies. They are very good natured outgoing, child-friendly dogs. All of our puppies are brought up in a similar environment where they are exposed to indoor and outdoor living, toddlers, children and cats.

We take care of our pups! All puppies are up-to-date with their worming and vaccination schedule

Our pups and their mother are fed top quality Royal Canin Puppy food, which is known to be one of the best brands on the market for lactating mothers and growing puppies. This ensures healthy puppy growth.

We begin the potty training process with our puppies before they move to their forever home.
